We are delighted that the Old Fire Station in Sunderland has been ‘Longlisted’ for the RIBA MacEwen Awards celebrating architecture for the common good.

The restoration which formally opened in March 2018 provides community exhibition , dance and theatre spaces together with a restaurant within the former fire station building. This represents the first phase of the MAC Trusts regeneration of a New Arts and Cultural Quarter.
