Overview:
Feasibility report prepared for Northumbria University to study the redevelopment potential of an existing sport venue on the outskirts of Newcastle.
The proposal puts forward a vision for the complete redevelopment of the site, to create a nationally recognised sports park for use during national and international competitions and training events. Proposals for the refurbishment of the existing pavilion were considered, and a new build proposal is outlined here.
The pavilion provides the focus of the redevelopment and has been designed to become a destination building for sports and recreation, incorporating various high performance sports training and activity facilities.
