Handle House
We have been commissioned to review the future of the Grade II* Handle House, Trowbridge Wiltshire, an important and unique listed building.
Situated on a segmental bridge over the River Biss, built in 1843-1848 for teazle drying for Trowbridge’s once famous cloth market, hence the heavily perforated brickwork wall panels on all facades. It is probably the only remaining example of such a building in England.
Recently used as commercial office space we are looking at options to create an innovative dwelling within this unique structure.
