Fire Station nears completion

The former Fire Station is nearing completion with a formal opening set for the 23rd November 2017. The 1907 building has been fully refurbished and extended to create a new community facility for theatre and dance on the first floor and an exhibition research space on the second floor.  The ground floor contains a new Public House in the former engine room which has now opened.

The work undertaken for Sunderland MAC Trust with support from HLF has transformed the building which is now a key facility with the new Cultural Quarter in Sunderland.
