Overview:
The small Durham ex-mining village of Pity Me was chosen as the location for Northumbrian Water’s headquarters. The site included headquarters offices, stores and workshops in a new-build development.
The main building complex featured deep open plan offices over two floors, constructed in steel framing and clad in ribbed colour-coated panels, brick, and ribbon windows all with smooth radiused corners.
