Powered by Heritage Action Zone grant funding, Ainsworth Spark Associates have lead a number of regeneration projects along Howard Street in North Shields. Playing a part in creating the wider North Shields cultural quarter.
This included extensive external renovations to six properties on Howard Street together with the Grade II listed,1837-1894 Saville Exchange at the junction of Howard Street and Saville Street.
The works reinstated historic features and undertook sympathetic repairs, improving the building fabric to lower carbon emissions and bring back the elegance of these Victorian buildings.
The projects were partially funded by North Tyneside’s Heritage Action Zone (HAZ) grant funding which also funded the public realm woks to the street and the park.
