The Peacock, Sunderland
Formerly known as The Londondary, is a Grade II listed Public House. We were responsible for a full redesign and reconfiguration to the interior as well as external repairs.

Overview:

Throughout it’s history, the interior of the building has received substantial alterations, resulting in the loss of much of the early fabric around the bar and first floor. The ground floor was used as a bar, while the first floor provided a nightclub and the second floor was used as residential accommodation.

The building has a highly significant facade, similar to that of the flat iron design. However, the external stonework was showing signs of deterioration, due to previous inappropriate repairs, which needed addressing in order for the building not to deteriorate further.

Our job was to provide a full redesign of the ground floor bar, while retaining and repairing existing features, along with providing an event space and private bar on the first floor. Following this, we were responsible for external repairs to the stonework and roof.
