JPC Proposal

Overview:

Jesmond Parish Church is a large evangelistic church in Newcastle upon Tyne. With expectations of growth and the desire to best use available space, the church was looking for proposals for the site currently occupied by a piecemeal collection of halls, meeting rooms, wcs, offices and kitchens adjacent and linked to the Grade II listed Dobson-designed church.

Our proposal saw a new access to the rear of the church forming a circulation loop between the church and the new halls. A glazed strip courtyard was introduced opening up currently hidden views of the church walls and bringing light into the new spaces. New offices, kitchen and w.c.s were arranged around new halls and meeting rooms.
