Overview:
The proposal aims to create a development of 14 storeys with 18 one, two and three bedroom apartments, with a cafe/restaurant and service facilities at ground and first floor level, and a roof garden on the fourteenth floor.
The unique geometry of the architecture maximises the open southern aspect to the canal and beyond, respects the privacy of the neighbouring City Lofts apartments, establishes an active frontage at ground level with a two floor café/restaurant and provides amenity space within each dwelling including a generous shared landscaped roof garden.
The design makes no attempt to mimic the architectural characteristics and style of adjacent buildings, rather establishing its own special and memorable presence, adding a contrasting scale, style and colour to the growth, and space between buildings, on the canal frontage.
