Pandon Building

Overview:

Pandon Building, Newcastle upon Tyne:

A substantial concrete-framed former light engineering building, built in the 1920s, the Pandon Building is part of the Northumbria University Campus.

The whole of the building, both internal and external, was refurbished with four floors of open access computer suites, individual teaching rooms and administration offices. The entrance was re-modelled within the existing double loading bay at street level and the building’s unusual curved corners and unique mushroom-headed columns were restored and celebrated.
