Overview:
Refurbishment works to the Oncology Department at Alnwick Infirmary. The scheme aimed to lend the communal and private treatment rooms less of a clinical and more of a homely feel whilst maintaining the high levels of hygiene. The reception and small waiting area were also updated along with an office and associated drug storage facilities. New accessible w.c.s were also provided.
Critically, the rooms directly above the affected area needed to remain in use whilst the work was carried out so safety and controlled demolition and construction was of paramount importance.
